Yolo Food Bank

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the outpouring of messages and calls we’ve received from our community in the past 24 hours with many of you checking on our staff, the condition of our building, and the food resources that are critical for Yolo County.

As many of you know, Yolo Food Bank sustained a fire at our facility on Thursday, March 14. We are relieved to report that our staff is safe and our critical food resources and main facility building remained unscathed. The fire did however, cause significant damage to our delivery yard, affecting our asphalt, fencing, lighting, storage crates, and one of our Freightliner trucks.

We are so touched by how many of you asked how you can support us at this present moment. Our understanding is that we may have significant replacement needs that our insurance will not cover, and financial support would be the best way to help us at this time. If you would like to make the gift of a financial donation, our website is the best avenue to do so at: yolofb.org/give

Once again, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you all for your care and concern as we navigate this challenge. ❤️️
